Our Story

White Irish farmhouse with dark green window frames, potted plants, a decorative wreath on the door and outdoor seating, set against a cloudy sky and surrounded by greenery.
A woman with glasses sitting at a wooden table with several skincare product bottles in front of her, near a window with a scenic view outside.
A farmhouse at dusk with smoke near the chimney, warm light from inside, and a fire truck nearby.

McKevitt’s Farmhouse began with a need for comfort.

I moved from Chicago to Ireland with my husband Paddy to help care for his mother, bringing three horses, two dogs, and a fairly large amount of homesickness with me.

Then we lost our home in a fire.

We lost almost everything we owned, including one of our rescue dogs. In the middle of the shock, grief, paperwork, rebuilding, and exhaustion, I understood very clearly what matters — and what is just stuff.

While we were trying to rebuild the house, I was also trying to rebuild my nervous system.

I needed simple, reliable care. A cup of tea. Balm for dry hands. Something gentle for my skin. Small comforts that helped ordinary days feel a little more manageable.

The products I make now grew out of that need.

They are some of the things that helped me. And now I’d like to share them with you.

Simple things. Done well.
